The init magazine (hits the stands)

with 3 comments

Well, not the stands actually.

The Free/Open Source Software Community of Institute of Engineering (IOE-FOSS), Pulchowk Campus has published the first issue of ‘The init Magazine.’ Init*, is planned to be a monthly Magazine on FOSS. The magazine was prepared using Free Softwares only, in a GNU/Linux desktop environment. Another interesting feature is that during the preparation of the magazine the team members collaborated over the internet and none of them ever met physically.

The magazine looks very impressive in all aspects and the team deserves full appreciation. Jwalanta has prepared a great layout for init. Guys from IOE-FOSS were also so kind as to accept my article for publication :)

Download the magazine here.

*init is the first process that runs on GNU/Linux operating system.
